For VIPLANT, sustainability, social responsibility, and good production practices are non-negotiable principles. Every day, we demonstrate our commitment to safe agricultural practices and sustainable production. Through rigorous inspections and audits, as well as sample analyses and evaluations of daily records, we are able to demonstrate that our products are safe and of high quality, and that the techniques and methods we use are fair and sustainable. MPS GAP
As production grew and expanded, VIPLANT realised that it wasn’t enough to have the best equipment, produced using the best practices; we also needed to demonstrate to the world our commitment to this responsibility. In 2017, VIPLANT set out to obtain the MPS (Milieu Programma Sierteelt or ‘Environmental Programme Floriculture’), which certifies VIPLANT as a global leader in sustainability in the horticultural sector. To be part of the MPS, it is necessary to ensure that all activities are focused on quality and sustainability. This means that high standards are met in all our operations. For us, achieving the MPS was a clear and deliberate step in demonstrating our work as a sustainable business.
GlobalG.A.P. GRASP
This certification guarantees our customers that everything produced in our nurseries has been grown safely, transparently, and sustainably. Global G.A.P.GRASP is a global benchmark for good agricultural practice, awarded by an international organisation that operates worldwide and aims to ensure safe and sustainable agriculture on a global scale. The use of this certificate demonstrates compliance with demanding standards in the areas of working conditions, product safety, hygiene and transparency.
PME Leader '23
VIPLANT has been a PME Leader 2023 for several consecutive years, and we have once again been awarded this seal of approval, which recognises the performance of small and medium-sized national companies. It’s a label awarded by IAPMEI, Turismo de Portugal, and the Banco Português de Fomento Group, based on VIPLANT’s ratings and economic and financial indicators. It is yet another award that places the brand at the forefront of national and international preferences.
Best Garden Centre in Portugal – Garden Magazine
VIPLANT – Garden Centre de Oeiras has been awarded the title of Best Garden Centre in Portugal 2022/2023 by Garden Magazine. This award, which recognises excellence, honours the Garden Centre of Oeiras for its growth, development, capacity for innovation, and leadership in its field. The prize for the best Portuguese garden centre was awarded for the first time in 2022, and VIPLANT was honoured to be the first to be recognised for its excellence.
